De zwaan
This windmill near the river Amstel, is not in Amsterdam but in Ouderkerk. It is an old polder windmill. It is not in use anymore but it is preserved as a historical monument.
Ce moulin au bord de l’Amstel n’est pas à Amsterdam mais à Ouderkerk. C’est un ancien moulin à polder qui n’a plus d’autre usage que celui de monument historique.

Het Amsterdams Lyceum

It once was the nice 19 century city hall of the Nieuwer-Amstel (New Amstel) bourogh. This is now the building was the city hallof the archives of the city of Amsterdam

Martelaren van Gorcumkerk
Martelaren van Gorcumkerk is a massive church in east Amsterdam. As many catholic churches it is decorated inside and outside. On the tympanum the traditionalist architect Alexander Kropholler, put some Byzantine drawings. The church is dedicated to the Martyrs of Gorkum, 19 catholics from Groningen who were tortured by calvinists and hanged during the war of religions.

View from my Fietsflat
Here I am, parked on the third floor of the fietsflat (litterally bike flat) near Centraal Station. There is a nice view from here and maybe this is why this is allways difficult to find a empty spot among the 2500 bike spaces.

Yellow Jersey in Ouderkerk
This is in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. The yellow jersey in front of me must stop because the bridge is open. A big boat is passing on the river and the biker looses precious minutes.
Nous sommes à Ouderkerk-aan-de-Amstel. Le maillot jaune devant moi est obligé de s’arrêter parce que le pont est ouvert. Un gros bateau passe, obligeant le cycliste à perdre de précieuses minutes.
