On the blue bridge
On the blue bridge (Blau brug) again, you can see it closser than my previous photo. The pillars on the top of the bridge have nice 19 century lights and sculture. It is said that the model for that bridge was the Pont Alexandre III in Paris. I don’t think so.

Imperial eagle
Lost near Entrepotdok, I could find this strange column with an eagle on top. It looks like an imperial eagle from the French Empire. I didn’t know the Dutch liked Napoleon so mutch that they kept some signs of his presence when French were occupying the Netherlands.

The Broekzijdse windmill is a typical Dutch windmill in a typical Dutch landscape. It is located on the side of the river Gein in Abcoude. It was built in 1641 as a polder mill (poldermolen). Nuon watertoren
I show you allready a lot photos of towers in Amsterdam but this one is different this is a water tower. It is nice and made of bricks and is in the large Nuon ground at the south of the city. Nuon is the local compaty producing and providing electricity.

Drooderfiets is on Hyves, the Dutch social website. There is not much to see here but it’s good to celebrate this with a photo of Drooderfiets in front of Hyves.

Oldenhoeck
This house from the Amsterdam School style is called Oldenhoek (the old corner). Although a company in Amsterdam has its name, this is not clear why this building in the middle of Jacob Olbrechtstraat is call the old corner. One thing is sure though, the quality of the door shows how wealthy people are in this area, one of the richest part of Oud Zuid district.
